About माया
Multidisciplinary dancer exploring movement, culture, and connection.
Movement is how I understand, connect, and contribute.

My Story
Natural-born Floridian and Caribbean American, I bring together grace, charisma, and intellect as I move through spaces of art, education, and community. My work explores how movement can communicate across cultures while remaining grounded in intention and presence.
My foundation in performance began early, earning titles as a Youth Pom National Dance Alliance National Champion in 2000, 2001, and 2003. I later became a United States Army Honor Graduate, developing discipline and adaptability that continue to shape both my artistry and leadership.
My experience spans both stage and industry, including performing on the B2K Millennium Tour and working as a Fashion & Technology Intern for Korto Momolu. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and currently work full-time in the IT field. Alongside my professional career, I remain committed to community, volunteering as a mathematics and writing tutor.
